What to do in Styria?
Styria is one of the nine states in Austria and is a top destination in both summer and winter. While in winter you can enjoy the winter wonderland and all kinds of slopes, in summer you can also enjoy the nature. In the summer, everything is in full bloom and the whole landscape is coloured green and you can take the lift up the mountain to go hiking, mountain biking or simply to enjoy the view.
In Styria, you will also find vineyards, as the Mediterranean climate and volcanic soil provide a good basis for the wines. The Sauvignon Blanc from this region is among the best in the world! So if you are a wine lover, a visit to Styria is highly recommended, let yourself be surprised by the beautiful landscape and definitely taste some of the locally produced wines. There is also a wine route that you can follow, this route brings you along different villages and here you can taste the wines.
For the Formula 1 fans among us, in Styria you have the Red Bull Ring where the F1 Grand Prix of Austria is held. In the summer you can visit the Red Bull Ring and see up close how the track looks like. You can just do a lap around it but it is also possible to go on the track under supervision and really experience what it is like to race on the track just like Max Verstappen! Besides the circuit itself there are also many other activities possible on the track and in the area, for example you can get a guided tour where you go to the Viplounge, race control and the media centre. This way you really get a good idea of what happens at such a race. For a complete overview, prices and availability we recommend you to check out the website of the Red Bull Ring, click here to visit the website.
