What to do in Imotski?

During your stay in Villa Melita, you can make use of borrowed bicycles. Only 4.5 km away there is the town of Imotski, this picturesque town is known for its lakes: the red lake and the blue lake. The red lake, Crveno, is the deepest karst lake in Europe. The blue lake, Modro, is a popular place for a swim. An old fortress can also be admired in Imotski, Fort Topana. Looking for a beach? Then take the car to Makarska Riviera and visit one of the beautiful beaches there (Poolincluded tip: check out the bizarre view!). On the property of villa Melita there are barbecue facilities, so this can definitely be used. Don’t feel like cooking yourself? At about 100 metres from the villa, there is a famous hotel that is known for its high quality, excellent wines, and delicious local dishes. This region is excellent for people who love the outdoors, it is a beautiful region with many lakes and mountains. Perfect for cycling or hiking. Within 1 hour drive you are also in the city of Split, Dobrovnik can also be visited within 1 day.

Because Imotski is situated more inland in Croatia, it does not have a Mediterranean climate. Imotski has more of a continental climate.
