What to do in Portugal?

If you can, take a look at the capital Lisbon. This city has so much to offer. Visit the ‘Cristo Rei’ monument or enjoy a train ride on the famous railway line 28! Would you like to try something completely different and are you a fan of the starry sky? Then drive to Alqueva, where you will find a reservoir. The reservoir itself is not very interesting, but…. You do not see such a clear starry sky very often, because it is very remote. UNESCO has even given this place a title: ‘Starlight Tourism Destination‘. Enjoyed Lisbon and looking for another beautiful city? Then visit Porto! The inhabitants themselves call this port city the economic heart of Portugal. An old district in Porto, Ribeira, has even been included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Is Porto too far away because you want to enjoy yourself in the Algarve? Then you can also visit a natural park, for example Ria Fomosa. This versatile area consists of salt pans, marshes and a small island. There are also many animals to spot in this area. There are also many beautiful beaches to be found in this area of Portugal. Not only the beaches are beautiful in the Algarve, also the walking routes! A tip from Poolincluded is the walking route: ‘Seven Hanging Valleys Trail’, this route is about 6 kilometres long and goes past some beautiful sights. This route starts at Praia da Marinha.
